Model fomulation and parameterization

Hello,
I've been looking for a detailed model description in the documentation available in the  website and the reference paper but couldn't find it. In my ongoing work, I need to describe the equations used to estimate the particles trajectories and the model parameterization (i.e., the horizontal and vertical diffusivity). Is there any technical documment or publication where I can find this information?

Sorry, this is not available yet. Only a general overview of the model is available.

Hi Javier,

For the advection part of the model it is simply an equation for velocity discretised and solved numerically with either the Euler or Runge Kutta 4th order schemes.

For the horizontal diffusion part when activated there is an additional stochastic component, see u_r in Peliz et al. (2007)'s equ. 1.

There is no diffusion vertically in the current distributed version of Ichthyop.
