lethal salinity

Hi,
I am implementing an IBM for the coast of Uruguay Argentina and Brazil
were the salinity seems to be a very important variable due to Rio de la Plata estuary discharges
I would like to set lethal salinity values for larvae in the Biology model
Is it possible to do it?
thank you,
Erika

Ichthyop version:
Ichthyop 3.3alpha
Hydrodynamic dataset:

Operating system:

Hi Erika

It is possible to do that. There are several options, depending on your Ichthyop simulation.

- If you are using the growth module or the "Lethal Temperature", feature it is a bit complicated, since you will need to modify the Java code in order to implement lethal salinity. If you do not feel at ease with that, we can eventually collaborate.

- If you don't use the growth module, you can use the "Lethal Temperature" feature. Except that you replace the temperature by the salinity. In the output file, DEAD_COLD will be for larvae dead due to low salinities, DEAD_WARM will be for larvae dead due to high salinities.

Hi Nicolas

Yes, I am using the growth module but I do not program Java code
I would like to collaborate if you can do it
of course, you would be co-author of the final manuscript

thanks
